Homemade San Diego Chargers Party Banners

A simple handmade San Diego Chargers party banner is in line when needing some party supplies for a football party or celebration. Football fans will love the idea of creating a pendant banner to represent their favorite team. For this project creators will need: (8) navy blue felt rectangles, (2) pieces of yellow felt rectangles, scissors, 4-5 inch letter stencils, black marker and some sort of long yellow ribbon, twine, rope or similar.

Start creating the homemade San Diego Chargers party banner by cutting the rectangles into triangles. Make the triangles as big as the felt piece; using one piece per letter. When finished, trace the letters c-h-a-r-g-e-r and s onto the yellow felt pieces. Four letters will fit on one felt piece. When traced, cut them out and then glue one letter per navy blue felt triangle.

Let the letters dry onto the felt triangles and then create four slits into the top of the triangle bottom (straight part- not the point), evenly across. Finally, weave the yellow ribbon or similar in between each slit, forming a stitch pattern. Slide the triangles onto the ribbon in order so that “Chargers” is spelled out.

Add a unique touch to the design by outlining the felt letters in gold glitter or blue glitter. Adding a little sparkle will add a lot without retracting from the message. Guests will love it and it will only take the host 20 minutes or less to complete this handmade San Diego Chargers party banner project.
