Office Party Planning
Office party planning doesn't take a lot of effort at all. The party guests will be your employees, your party area will be the office. So, all that's left for your celebration is; getting the food, finding some decorations and maybe coming up with a few games.
You may have a few options regarding food preparation depending on the budget for this event. If you are on a limited budget for the celebration ask the guests to volunteer for a potluck buffet. They can bring in one of their favorite dishes each for the rest of the office to sample. If guests don't feel like cooking they can always volunteer to bring in drinks, snacks and extra paper plates, utensils and napkins.
If you have more money to spend a cake for that office party is always a good option. Some people don't like sugar, so another snack like chips and dip or a meat and cheese platter is also a good idea. Those in charge of the party planning can ask around the office ahead of time for suggestions from people about what they'd like to see on the buffet at the party. This way the food won't go to waste if no one has the same food preferences as the planner.
The decorations for your office party should probably be subdued or at least easy to remove. Simple balloons, banners and streamers are best. Colors for those decorations should match the theme of the office party. A Christmas party will be good in red and green. Retirement parties work well in gold and silver. Simply think about what colors are commonly associated with the holiday when picking out decorations.
With good food and easy decorations, your office party will go off without a cinch and the guests can relax in the off hours atmosphere. |
