The New Orleans Saints have a dominant presence on the field and so should a handmade New Orleans Saints party banner at any party or special football event! By utilizing the team colors of black, old gold and white, a homemade New Orleans Saints banner will rank among the top in regards to other party supplies that will be present.
If rolled black paper can be attained, this would be the best option. If not, painting white paper black is the other option. Most black paper, however, is not as pitch black as it should be. This leaves an opportunity open to add a little interest to the background. Taking black paint, create medium sized “x’s” on the black paint. This will not show a lot, but it will provide some texture and make an excellent back drop for the logo.
Next, trace the New Orleans Saints logo onto the banner. If placing in the middle, be sure to make it large – from top to bottom. When finished, fill in the circular part of the logo with old gold paint and then paint the rest according to the official logo. When finished, add a little sparkle by outlining the old gold painted circle with liquid white glue and then sprinkle some gold glitter. Black glitter also works as a substitution and looks great.
Finally, in white, paint out the message on the banner showing New Orleans Saints team spirit! Once completed and dried, this homemade New Orleans Saints party banner will look like it is store bought!
