Kung Fu Panda History and Facts
Kung Fu Panda parties give you a chance to incorporate animals, martial arts and Chinese culture into one party. This gives you a wide range of decorations, activities and foods to choose. Your invitations can be cutouts of the animals featured in Kung Fu Panda or shaped like a Chinese lantern or a peasant’s hat. The party colors can be red, black, white and gold. Decorate with Chinese lanterns and paper dragons on the walls in the party colors. Decorations can include signs with the Chinese characters for “Good Luck” or “Joy” or “Happiness” on them. Cut the Chinese characters out of gold foil or gold poster board. Put posters of Po and the other Kung Fu Panda animals on the walls. Put up photos or posters of their real life counterparts and a few statistics about them.
Have photos of the Chinese country side laminated, glued to cardboard backs and setting on mini easels around the room along with brief facts about Chinese culture. Decorate the refreshment table with place cards that are little scrolls, like the "Dragon scroll". Use red lightweight card stock, write the Chinese characters for "Joy" on the inside, roll the paper up and tie it with gold ribbon. Use a gold gel pen to write the child's name on the outside. These will make great party favors
Po had to trains be become the Dragon Warrior so let the little party guest train by playing with a piñata. There are both hit and pull string piñata’s available with Po on them.
