Independence Day is an annual holiday commemorating the formal adoption by the Continental Congress of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia. At an Independence Day party cut star shapes from paper doilies or sandpaper and then have the kids place a piece of thin white paper over the stars and rub a crayon over the star.
