Fire Engine History and Facts
Calling all boys to the fire station – it’s time for a fire engine birthday party! Firemen are heroes that every boy and girl can relate to. These everyday heroes are celebrated when kids have fire engine birthday parties.
A creative way to invite guests to your fire engine party is to purchase red plastic fire helmets over the Internet or at a local party supply store. Fill the hats with candy and fire engine stickers and take each helmet to the guests’ homes or to school to invite the entire class.
A great venue for a fire engine party is the local firehouse. With advanced notice, many firehouses will provide a tour for a large group of citizens. Call the local fire chief and set up such a tour for your child’s next birthday. Make it a point to inform the parents ahead of time so that additional chaperones may accompany you on the trip. During the tour guests will get to see how the fire house works. Make sure to take a group photo outside with the fire engine.
After the trip to the firehouse for the first part of the fire engine party, bring the brood back to your house for cake and ice cream. Once all the guests have eaten, have them create thank you cards for the firemen for taking the time to provide the tour. After the party have the guest of honor bring the photo and all the cards down to the firehouse. Fire Engine parties are a great way to show off your child’s love for fireman and fire engines. Incorporate a trip to the firehouse for your next fire engine party.
