Elmo History and Facts
Elmo parties are terrific for young children’s birthday parties. Elmo is such a happy character that he brightens up every room and makes terrific decorations. To decorate for your Elmo party start with red, orange and white streamers. Twist the streamers and hang from the ceiling or on the doors. Attach Red, orange and white balloons to the mailbox to welcome guests in and to designate the house on the street for the party. Have Elmo stuffed animals and figurines scattered throughout
Elmo parties are a great time to do one of Elmo’s favorite activities – dance! Have an Elmo dance party by putting in a fun dance CD like Johnny Rivers or Chuck Berry. Ask the child to point to their nose; if they can’t find their nose help and point it out for them. Now it’s time to turn on the music and tell them to only make their nose dance. After about one minute stop the music and point out another body part to have dance. Pick several body parts out and play the game over and over until finally the “body” is chosen and everyone uses their whole body to dance Elmo style!
Elmo birthday cakes are easy to make for Elmo parties. Purchase an Elmo bake pan online or at a local party or discount store. Frost the cake matching Elmo’s colors of orange, black, red and white. Elmo parties are a great way for kids to have fun dancing and singing while celebrating a birthday. Make your next Elmo party one to remember! Learn more about Elmo
