One of the more popular themes of the 80s was nerds, which lends itself to a fun party theme that has a multitude of possible Eighties Party Ideas. Invite your guests to the party using old floppy disks (you can probably find some at your local thrift store), writing the necessary party details in metallic pen right on it. Ask everyone to come dressed as a nerd, and be prepared to play the part as well.
