When planning your Disco party, you will need to think colorful and groovy! Start your party planning off right by making sure you have these items on your checklist.
Disco Ball: Every disco party needs a disco ball. No matter how small or large, if a disco ball is not present at the event, it is not a true disco party!
Lights: Lighting is crucial at a disco party. Disco is all about fun, dancing and lights. Create a disco mood by having a dark dance floor that is illuminated by lighting of all kinds. You can use spotlights, lasers, rope lights and more. Get creative with your rope lights and line your disco floor both below and above!
Plenty to Drink: Your disco party guests will be dancing all night long. Make sure you provide plenty of refreshments including both alcoholic (if an adult party) and nonalcoholic beverages. Have plenty of water on hand as well!
Music: You will undoubtedly have a long list of disco music at your party. Spice up your party and add a special flare by throwing in some funk music as well. Not only will this break up the music, it might even get those that are on the sidelines to come and join in on the dance floor.
Decorations: Decorations are a key player in disco party planning. Make sure to have plenty of decorations that pick up light and reflect it. Such decorations include foil ceiling streamers, disco balls, mirror balls and more.
