Blues Clues History and Facts
Blues Clues parties are great for the inquisitive pre-schooler. Everyone enjoys Blue and her creative way to help Joe find the answers to his questions. Create your own Blue’s Clues invitations by cutting out paw prints out of construction paper or cardstock. Pre-made invitations can be found online or at local party stores.
Have a Blue’s Clues treasure hunt at your party. Hide Blue or one of her friends like Periwinkle and write clues that lead to finding Blue or her trusted pal. Only make up three clues as that may be all time can allow for, as well as shortened attention spans. Utilize some of Blue’s friends around the house like Side Table Drawer and Tickety the talking clock as places to hide Blue’s paw prints around the house.
An easy craft for a Blue’s Clues party is to print off coloring pages from NickJr.com and have the children sit at the table and color while you are getting snacks ready. If your guests are older, have them decorate an old mailbox into Blue’s friend Mailbox. Then have each guest write a note to the child whose party they are at. Mailbox can be used as a decoration in the child’s room after the party is over.
Use the Blue’s Clues Thinking Chair for the child to open his or her presents. Drape red fabric over a large overstuffed chair and allow them to open their presents. This not only makes the guest of honor feel special, it is a simple and inexpensive decoration that ties into the theme!
