Basketball Party Planning
Basketball Party Planning Guide
If you are looking to throw a basketball party, plan out your event in a fashion where guests can not only enjoy themselves but have hands on experience as well.
First, you will want to set up your space so that it complements the theme of basketball. A basketball theme could be décor in the form of basketball, hoop and referee cutouts, all the way to creating a court of your own for show or play. Whether you take it to the extreme or not, you need some representation of a basketball game for guests to view.
Next, you will want to plan out games. This is an important part of a party and also heavily relies on the age group for the basketball themed party. All age ranges can get outside and play a game of basketball, or, you can choose to have it inside with a small basketball hoop and ball that attaches on the wall or on the back of a door. You can shoot hoops for fun or for prizes. You can also fill a kiddie swimming pool with basketballs that have a number on them. Correlate the number on the ball to a number on a table that either has a prize or something funny that the person picking the number has to do. Make sure you have plenty of games; usually about 1 per hour of the party, plus extras for the just in case times.
Cake and goodies are always expected at any party. Create a basketball cake or cupcakes that guests will love! Send them home with some goodies and you have just created a basketball party they will remember!
